Sunday, July 13th at 2pm The Ruidoso Public Library Proudly presents Manya The living History of Marie Curie at the Ruidoso Convention Center; a performance by Susan Marie Frontczak.

Marie Curie was a Polish-born physicist and chemist and one of the most famous scientists of her time. She is best known for the discovery of radium and radioactivity and the first treatments for cancer. Few understand the obstacles she faced as a woman just to get into the laboratory; from the political oppression of her childhood, to the scientific emergence and fame, to the tragedy that forced her into single motherhood and further world prominence. Manya's story reveals her compelling journey.

This is a Free two hour program with an intermission and is recommended for ages 12 and up.

*This program is sponsored by: ♦The Ruidoso Public Library with assistance from: ♦"Pushing the Limits" Grant from CALIFA to support discussions about science and ♦the Ruidoso Convention Center

Did you know: The overnight dropbox located outside the library is only collected once per day, usually at 8:30am and only on days we are open. :)
